Do you want to be part of developing the agency's work in the area of mental health and suicide prevention? Then you now have the chance to take on an exciting, time-limited assignment! You will work on a government assignment where we develop and disseminate knowledge, recommendations, and guidance for children's and young people's use of digital media. Furthermore, you will also work on a government assignment where the agency will implement the national strategy in the area of mental health and suicide prevention.

What will you be working on?

The tasks of the case officer include participating in the planning and implementation of the various parts of the assignments:

  • Project planning and coordination.
  • Coordination meetings, dialogue meetings, and workshops with various external actors. Planning for the meeting, booking venues and travel, managing registrations, handling communication (own contacts) with external actors such as professional associations, authorities, and researchers, leading focus groups, writing minutes/protocols, etc.
  • Participating operationally and contributing ideas and materials in the development of target group-adapted knowledge support and communication efforts.
  • Producing summaries and materials in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, for example, summaries of feedback from external and internal actors on materials.
  • Proofreading materials and reports. Accessibility adaptation of documents.

As a case officer, other tasks typical for the agency will also be included.

Who are we looking for?

Requirements for the position:

  • Higher education or university degree in a relevant field for the position.
  • Several years of experience working as a case officer at a government agency or on behalf of a government agency.

Great emphasis is placed on:

  • Experience working as a case officer in government assignments.
  • Experience in overall project planning and coordination of large multi-year projects involving multiple parties.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and documenting the results of events of various kinds, such as conferences, dialogue meetings, and hearings with various actors, such as authorities, professionals, and civil society.
  • Experience in communication planning and target group adaptation, implementation, and follow-up of communication efforts.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Personal qualities such as good collaboration skills, responsibility, and structure. You have a holistic perspective and a good attitude.

Great emphasis is placed on:

  • Experience coordinating national coordination of various actors, such as authorities, regions, municipalities, and the non-profit sector.
  • Experience working with promotion and preventive work in the area of mental health and suicide prevention.
  • Experience working with the implementation of national strategies or action plans.
  • Established network with actors in the area of mental health and suicide prevention, such as authorities, professionals, experts, and civil society organizations.

Importance is placed on:

  • Higher education or university degree in media and communication studies.
  • Training in project management and process management.
  • Experience in operational work in project groups developing target group-adapted knowledge support and communication materials about children's and young people's screen use and health, in collaboration with external actors such as professional associations and researchers.
  • Experience in accessibility adaptation of publications.
  • Experience working with web and web publishing systems such as Episerver.

What does the unit do?

The unit for mental health and suicide prevention is responsible for the agency's work in compiling, analyzing, and disseminating knowledge with a particular focus on mental health and suicide across the entire population.

About the employment

You will be employed as a case officer based at our office in Solna. The position is a special fixed-term employment for full-time during the period 2026-03-01 to 2026-05-31.

As an employee of the Public Health Agency of Sweden, you may be placed in a war position. Certain positions are classified in security class where Swedish citizenship may be a requirement. A security review will then be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

At the agency, there may be an opportunity to enter into an agreement for remote work up to 40 percent of your working time.
